NDIF Pilot Program

The National Deep Inference Fabric (NDIF) is excited to announce that we will be opening up more spots in our pilot program! This is a unique opportunity for AI researchers to conduct groundbreaking experiments on the Llama3-405b model while helping to test new research infrastructure. We are pilot-testing a programming interface that provides terabytes of GPU resources and the system support necessary to conduct experiments on models of this size. We are seeking innovative minds to help us test our new computational fabric, while advancing your research in AI.

What We Offer

  • Access to Llama3-405b
  • Remote experimentation via the NNsight PyTorch API
  • Full access to all internal activations, gradients, and ability to alter the model
  • Training, support and guidance on using the NDIF platform

What We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in experiments that:

  • Go beyond conventional benchmarking.
  • Involve novel interdisciplinary research.
  • Exploit the unique access to model internals that NDIF provides.
  • Would otherwise have limited access to the necessary computational resources.
  • We strongly encourage applications from diverse fields that bring unique perspectives to AI research. We especially welcome applications from researchers from U.S. labs who aim to pioneer large-scale AI work in your institution.

Timeline

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
  • Application Deadline: December 31, 2024 (pending availability)
  • Project Start Date: January 2025
  • Project End Date: March 9, 2025
